“It’s been the best decision of my principalship.”

Recently, we had the opportunity to sit down with Casey Bethel, Principal at New Manchester High School in Douglasville, Georgia, to talk about the impact Lead4Change has had in his school and community.

Here’s what he had to say:

“Look, in a high school, we’re dealing with teenagers—and teenagers live in a world all to themselves, right? But through Lead4Change, they’re able to be accountable for something.

I have seen the students broaden their horizons, think outside the box, and think about the needs of their community—and that’s everything.

Everybody knows about the great work being done here at New Manchester High School because of Lead4Change, and it’s making a difference in our community. Parents know about it. Neighbors know about it. The school system knows about it. Everybody’s proud of what we’re able to do with help from Lead4Change.”

“Every good school has a goal to train young people to go out and make a difference in the world. If we have young people who know all of the elements in the periodic table or can solve a calculus equation, but don’t know how to be compassionate or to problem-solve or to help those in need—then have we really prepared them for what they’re going to face?

Lead4Change has been the best decision of my principalship. It shows them how to take what they’re learning in class and apply it in a real, authentic way in the world.”

At Lead4Change, we help educators, administrators, and principals like Casey unlock the full potential of their students—so they’re ready to lead, serve, and succeed long after graduation.

Our free lessons go beyond academics to help students develop confidence, compassion, and practical leadership skills they’ll carry for years to come.
